Final EPisode TOnight

Tune in tonight at 9pm for the final episode of Mexican Radio Radio Show on KCRW Berlin 104.1 FM. Don’t be too sad, we’ve got two fantastic guests for you: straight outta Melbourne, Australia comes the mega-stylish U-Bahn and straight outta Newcastle, England comes the always-fashionable Paul Smith of Maxïmo Park. Pull up a chair, get cozy and listen to the wireless like they did in the days of yore, or just stream it on the KCRW Berlin website. You’ll find the episode here.

Take a Ride on the U-Bahn

Join us this Wednesday for the final episode of Mexican Radio Radio Show on KCRW Berlin. Our guests this month are Australian-synth combo U-Bahn, who write “music for a future that never came to pass” and sound remarkably like Devo. As a bonus to the episode, we’ve got an exclusive interview with Paul Smith of Maxïmo Park in which we do a hard-hitting interview about— sandwiches. We hope you’re hungry, this might be our best episode yet. Don’t miss it!

Don’t You Want Me – Single Artwork

Our cover of The Human League’s ‘Don’t You Want Me’ will see release next Friday 27. November via R.I.P. Ben Lee Records. That’s exactly thirty nine years to the day of the original single release. The artwork was hand drawn by our drummer Hannes Neupert and is based on the original single design. Watch the video for ‘Don’t You Want Me’ here.

Goodbye KCRW Berlin

Please see the following message from KCRW Berlin. It has been an honor working with such a talented and diverse team. Needless to say, we’re absolutely gutted:

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you KCRW Berlin will discontinue operations next month. Like so many media and nonprofit organizations, we couldn’t escape the long-term effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Our last day on air and bringing you new content online will be Dec. 13, 2020. It has been an honor serving the English-speaking community and being part of a decades-long tradition of American public radio in the German capital.⠀

We have deeply appreciated your support since the station’s launch in October 2017. Please stay tuned during our final month as we continue bringing you great English-language programming and highlight some of our favorite interviews and shows out of Berlin over the past three years. We encourage you to continue streaming content from our U.S. partners, KCRW and NPR, via their apps or websites.
